Republicans Are Big Spenders Too!

All spending bills must start in the House of Representatives.
In December 2011, a “megabus” spending bill for $915Billion
for FY2012 was passed by the House by a vote of 296-121. The
vote in the Senate was 67-32. There was no fanfare as with
previous spending bills (CRs and raising the debt ceiling)
during 2011. The Republican leadership in the House has caved
at every opportunity to control spending. They must accept
the labels RINO and big government profligate spenders.
In 1995 Republicans passed welfare reform and controlled
spending. President Clinton vetoed the spending bills twice –
thereby shutting down the Federal government. He signed the
bills the third time, and he has taken credit for the resulting
surpluses in FYs 1998 through 2001. Few note that deficits in
1993 and 1994 with a Democrat-controlled Congress were large
enough to give Clinton a net deficit for 8 years in office.
The Democrats have blamed President Bush while they have
maintained many of his policies – on steroids! Obama has
publicly showed sympathy with the “Occupy” crowd while taking
tens of Million$ from Wall Street supporters the OWS are
protesting. The Feds have turned a business cycle into the
Great Recession by following the same policies of Hoover and
FDR – trade isolation and maintaining high wages. Three
years passed before trade agreements negotiated under Bush
were finally implemented. “Minimum wage” laws created
unemployment over 25% for 18-25 year-olds and over 40% for
minorities of the same age. Unemployment was above 17% for
the 1930s, and above 9% for most of Obama's three years.
Unemployment seems to be easing despite anti-business
policies and the adoption of European socialism.
Social Security and its Medicare and Drug children are
bankrupt. It is criminal to reduce FICA payroll taxes to buy
votes. What about those “tax loopholes” that Democrats wanted
to close in the “Super Committee” shell game to reduce spending?
No spending was cut and the second round of “commissions” was
lost. Since the tax loopholds were acknowledged, delete them!
Mike Huckabee (Fair Tax), Herman Cain (Fair Tax and 999) and
Ron Paul have offered specific tax reform plans. The debate on
tax reform has abated. Ron Paul's budget would balance the
budget by his fourth year. Many do not think the cuts are
necessary. They have their head in the sand! If nine zeroes
are removed from the numbers, then it is easier to understand
the crisis: Income: $26,000 Spending: $36,600 Oustanding
Debt: $120,000. Each year $10,600 will be added to the
outstanding debt.

Members of the U.S. House of Representatives

The Constitution sets the maximum number of members of
Congress at “one for every thirty thousand.” Assuming a
population of 310,000,000 that sets a cap of about
10,333 members. There currently are 435 members of
Congress.
Current technology makes it possible to have a far
greater number of representatives than the present
situation. According to the Census there are about 230M
who are 18 years old or older. Of these, about 137M are
registered voters. Using 100,000 registered voters
instead of 30,000 persons, that would allow 1370 members
of Congress. This would be a much better representation
for the citizens than the average of about 315,000 per
member. Since the number of signatures to get on a ballot
is a percent of the number to be represented, a smaller
number will encourage more participation in government.
By more than tripling the number of members,
representation should be better and corrupting power is
diluted.
Members of the House have reacted - not by diluting their
power - but by expanding their staffs. More members with
smaller staffs would be more responsive to us (the voters).

My Congressman's (#1 in House at 97%) Answer:

In 1929, The 71st United States Congress passed the
Reapportionment Act to determine apportionment of Members
of Congress in the United States.  This legislation capped
the number of Members in the House of Representatives to
435 and established a method of equal apportionment across
the states.  This legislation also delegated to the states
the power to draw the Congressional Districts.

That sounds like "It's the way we have always done it, and
no one intends to change it!" After 82 years and 41
Congresses, it is time to address the idea!

Repeating the Mistakes of FDR

The BHO administration says it hasn’t spent enough. But
Obama doesn’t seem to learn from history. Henry Morgenthau
Jr., the Secretary of Treasury for FDR testified before
the House Ways and Means Committee on May 9, 1939 saying
“We have tried spending money. We are spending more than
we have ever spent before and it does not work… We have
never made good on our promises…after eight years of this
administration we have just as much unemployment as when
we started…and an enormous debt to boot!”

If we don't learn from history, then we condemn ourselves
to repeat the mistakes!

Fuzzy Math on Unemployment

The government announced that unemployment is now 8.6%

Only 120,000 jobs were created. Is that enough to decrease
the rate by .5%? What was ignored is that the labor
participation rate decreased from 64.2% from 64%. This
means that 315,000 gave up looking for work.

There are 3 types of lies: lies, half-lies and statistics.
Let the buyer beware. This was not "solid proof that the
Obama program is working!"

Taxpayers Subsidizing Illegals' College Tuition

The Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility
Act of 1996 prohibits state colleges and universities from
providing in-state tuition rates to illegal aliens “on the
basis of residence within the State” unless the same
in-state rates are offered to all citizens of the United
States - and it is the Justice Department’s responsibility
to enforce this law.

But while the DOJ is going after states like Arizona and
Alabama for trying to enforce federal immigration law, the
U.S. government refuses to sue these twelve states,
including California and Texas, that are brazenly breaking
the law.

The President and the Attorney General have an obligation
to enforce federal immigration regulations, Von Spakovsky
and Stimson argue. In a new report, they highlight how
these states are encouraging illegal immigration by forcing
taxpayers to bear the costs of educating illegal aliens
while unfairly punishing out-of-state students who are
citizens with higher tuition rates.

The Continuing Crisis in America

The Democrats controlled both the Senate and the House
of Representatives for 40 years from 1955 to 1995. During
the 1980s President Reagan compromised with the Democrats
and gave amnesty to millions of criminals in return for
tough legislation on illegal immigration. Reagan was duped
by the Democrats. Laws which are passed but never enforced
are meaningless. When the states tried to enforce the
existing laws, Obama and Attorney General Holder sued them.
This same Democrat Congress decreed that hospitals with ERs
must provide emergency medical treatment to everyone –
legal or illegal – without Federal taxpayer compensation
(1986 EMTALA/COBRA). Hospitals only choice was to close
their Emergency Rooms to everyone. Those who kept their
ERs passed their costs on to the insured and taxpayers.

President Obama formed the National Commission on Fiscal
Responsibility and Reform in 2010. They met from April
through December 2010 when their 65-page report report was
published. Obama ignored it. Now we have the “super
committee” which is necessary only because 2012 is an
election year and Congress does not want painful but
necessary spending cuts associated with them.

The Republican “leadership” in the people's House has caved
to Democrat tactics in several Continuing Resolutions and
an irresponsible Debt Ceiling increase. The House of
Representatives passed a budget in HR1. The Senate has not
passed a budget (over 900 days) since they controlled all
of Congress and before January 2011 when the newly-elected
crop of conservatives took office.

The last time that the budget was balanced was when the
Republicans – led by Newt Gingrich – controlled both the
Senate and the House from 1995 until 2006. The four budget
surpluses that Clinton takes credit for occurred during
1998 through 2001 (the first Bush year and the year of 9/11).
The Federal government was shut down several times before
Clinton finally compromised. Boehner and Cantor by
comparison have been traitors to those conservatives in OH
and VA who elected them and to the American people who
demand fiscal responsibility.

Obama is doing the same illegal things that FDR did. The
Federal Government has no place in fixing prices, violating
contract law, selectively building infrastructure in states
necessary for elections in 2010 and 2012, and using the EPA
and NLRB and the Czars and Cabinet Departments for
manipulation of elections. Although Obama and most of his
advisors are academics with little if any experience in
business, the Federal government is centrally planning and
controlling the national and state economies as FDR did in
his time of “crisis”. As a result, millions of Americans
remain unemployed as millions did in the decade of the 1930s.
The depression under Coolidge in the 1920s lasted a very
short time because the government and the Federal Reserve
allowed the business cycle to complete normally. Keynes
sent long letters to FDR in the 1930s to correct the
government's implementation of his theory. The Federal
Reserve is failing at its primary mission of maintaining a
strong dollar while creating bubbles of many kinds which
disrupt American business and trade and taxing everyone by
devaluing the currency. Obama took three years to implement
trade agreements which the Bush Administration had negotiated.
The isolationist Smoot-Hawley tariffs of the FDR-era similarly
minimized jobs in for-export industries.

The Federal government had subsidized financial institutions
which made student loans. The subsidies were dropped and
taxpayers are now in the banking business. With education a
failure in America, graduates are finding themselves unprepared
for the current economy while severely burdened with student
debt. In the past the Federal government has “forgiven” debt.
This cost – along with that if the IMF and World Bank
“contributions” to bail out Europe – will be paid by American
taxpayers.

As Reagan's mentor, Margaret Thatcher saved Great Britain while
in office. Daniel Hannan, a conservative member of the European
Parliament, pleads with Americans to avoid the path to European

I Told You So in November 2008!

Ok, Barack Obama, let's see what you will do! The rust belt
and other liberals have elected you. You will tax the rich
and give the money to the needy, as Marx wanted.

Many are poor because they dropped out of government schools
due to pregnancy or laziness. Surely they know how to spend
the money better than the rich ...

U.S. workers assumed that their assembly-line jobs would be
there forever, with continuous raises and growing benefits.
Why not erect tariffs like Hoover and FDR and keep wages high?
Let's raise the minimum wage to $100 an hour? Now that is a
"living wage!"

Oh, yeah, didn't unemployment average 18 percent during the
1930s?

Obama and his Democratic Congress should be able to tax the
rich to create government jobs in the rust belt. They can put
tariffs on imports, and trading partners will surely do the
same to our exports. Who needs that $650 billion of business
from exports anyway? Obama and Congress can find the workers
government jobs elsewhere -- CCC, NRA, PWA, TVA, etc. Surely
American businesses will pay a higher tax rather than move
their companies to Hong Kong, Singapore, Ireland or Australia
where business taxes are much less!

Obama will appoint Hillary and liberals like her to the
Supreme Court and federal courts to insure that "the living
Constitution says what I say it says." Confirmation hearings
will last minutes rather than months, with the Dems in charge
of Congress.

For those of us in the sun belt and Midwest who understand
personal responsibility and learn broad skills in case change
happens, we should do what our forefathers did when that other
president from Illinois was elected: secede from the United
Socialist States of America, USSA, and form the Conservative
States of America, CSA.

Hillsdale College Fall Free-Market Forum

Hillsdale is one of the best-rated colleges in the nation.
It is one of the few truly conservative colleges. Its
influence grew immeasurably with the opening of the Kirby
Center on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
I just attended the fall Free-Market Forum in Atlanta, GA.
As usual, everything about the event was outstanding.
The speaker Thursday night is a modern-day Margaret Thatcher.
He is a conservative member of the EU Parliament. Hopefully
Daniel Hannan will get much responsibility in the EU and in
Great Britain. Like Lady Thatcher, Daniel tried to warn the
United States to avoid the path to European socialism which we
are currently following.
The speakers for the Friday morning – The National Debt
and Entitlement Reform
- and – Can We Shrink the Federal Bureaucracy – sessions and the Friday afternoon – The Debate over Public Sector Unions – session - were experts in their areas and articulate in their presentations.
The luncheon and dinner speakers on Friday were superb.
My Governor (SC), Nikki Haley, received a standing ovation
before and after she spoke.
I highly recommend Hillsdale College events. I thoroughly
enjoyed the lectures and the 5 free meals! Why any
conservative would miss these events is a mystery! All
sessions were recorded and should be available on the internet
and in a future Imprimis. Please read Imprimis; it is the best
cure for ignorance that I know of!

Electoral College Still a Good Idea?

The Electoral College ensures that candidates build
nationwide coalitions and demonstrate that they will be
good representatives for a diverse nation composed of
both small and large states. Candidates who focus too
narrowly on a handful of states, regions, or metropolitan
population centers will not gain enough electoral votes.
The Electoral College also magnifies the margin of
victory for presidential candidates and, therefore,
confers a sense of legitimacy to the new President.

Occupy Wall Street Protestors

What started out as a gathering of people frustrated over
what they see as a lack of opportunity in America (their
complaints focused upon corporate greed, the large gap
between the poor and rich in America, unemployment,
student loans and political corruption), may be
developing into something else entirely.

[Sounds like the Obama Administration blaming Bush!]

Apparently, there are now teenagers and young adults who
have descended upon Wall Street in an effort to turn the
gathering into a boisterous party. With a “sex, drugs and
rock and roll” mentality apparently infiltrating the
protests, Mail Online reports:

Among the banners and flags are now discarded packets of
condoms, cigarettes and bottles of spirits, while naked
youngsters happily get together with just sleeping bags
covering their modesty. A box of free condoms is kept in
the main area where protesters are camping.

The real perpetrators are in Washington, D.C., not in NYC!

Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (1986)

The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act
(EMTALA) is a U.S. Act of Congress passed in 1986 as part
of the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act
(COBRA). It requires hospitals and ambulance services to
provide care to anyone needing emergency healthcare
treatment regardless of citizenship, legal status or
ability to pay. There are no reimbursement provisions. As
a result of the act, patients needing emergency treatment
can be discharged only under their own informed consent or
when their condition requires transfer to a hospital better
equipped to administer the treatment.

EMTALA applies to "participating hospitals", i.e., those
that accept payment from the Department of Health and Human
Services, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
under the Medicare program. However, in practical terms,
EMTALA applies to virtually all hospitals in the U.S., with
the exception of the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Indian
Health Service hospitals, and Veterans Affairs hospitals. The
combined payments of Medicare and Medicaid, $602 billion in
2004, or roughly 44% of all medical expenditures in the U.S.,
make not participating in EMTALA impractical for nearly all
hospitals. EMTALA's provisions apply to all patients, and not
just to Medicare patients.

Obama's Strawman Tactic - Sowell

Our intelligence was insulted even further in President
Obama's speech to Congress, when he set up this straw man
as what his critics believe -- that "the only thing we
can do to restore prosperity is just dismantle government,
refund everybody's money, and let everyone write their own
rules, and tell everyone they're on their own."

Have you heard anybody in any part of the political
spectrum advocate that? If not, then why was the President
of the United States saying such things, unless he thought
we were fools enough to buy it -- and that the media would
never call him on it?

Impeach Obama Now!

Can America survive 16 more months of Obama? If you track
Obama's first two years against FDR's first two years
(1933-1935), then you see many of the same policies. Both
had Democrat majorities in the House and the Senate. Both
passed legislation and wrote Executive Orders which were
illegal. Both filled cabinet and high-level jobs with
academics who had little if any real business experience.
The “progressive” policies put in place were anti-business
and forced millions of Americans onto unemployment and made
the still productive folks support them. At least both were
honest about “redistributing the wealth.” Both wanted the
“rich” to “pay their fair share” - and government would
determine what was “fair.” Median unemployment during
1933-1940 was over 17%. Current unemployment is 9.1%, and
no jobs were created in August. Keynes warned FDR that “even
wise and necessary reform may, in some respects, impede and
complicate recovery.” Compare these depressions with the one
in 1921 which lasted less than one year. The government –
and the Federal Reserve – took a hands-off approach.
Coolidge said “the business of America is business.”
FDR's U.S. Treasurer Morgenthau, represented the concerns
of American businessmen that the goals of the New Deal were
not clearly defined, and the consequential costs were
excessive. In May 1939 he stated “We are spending more
money than we have ever spent before, and it does not work.
After eight years we have just as much unemployment as when
we started, and an enormous debt to boot. “ Those who do not
remember the past are condemned to repeat it. Insanity has
been defined as trying the same thing [stimulus spending] and
expecting a different result [less unemployment]. With
Sarbanes-Oxley, Obamacare, Dodd-Frank, etc. businessmen are
unsure what their employee costs will be, and they are
reluctant to hire anyone.
Obama took an oath when he became President, but he lied.
He has refused to enforce U.S. Laws that he disagrees with –
Immigration, DOMA, etc. He is using the NLRB to keep jobs
from right-to-work states like SC. He has offended Israel.
He is guilty of high crimes and should be impeached – even if
the Senate will not try him. Unfortunately a majority of
voters get a check from him, and will vote to keep the checks
coming. Obama, Geithner and Bernake are intentionally
devaluing the dollar. This is currently a 3.6% (and
increasing) regressive tax. Usually the elderly get a COLA to
compensate for the loss. A weak dollar helps debtors [U.S.]
and makes our exports cheaper. Our credit rating has already
been lowered – and George Bush is no longer to blame after 3
years of Obama.

FDR and Obama's First Two Years

In 1933, FDR had Democrat-controlled House and Senate.
With little opposition, he was able to pass a large number
of new Federal programs into law.

Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), 1 million men, 18-25
years, $1/day Plant trees, control tree diseases, build fire
towers & truck trails; Parks: paths, picnic areas, facilities.
$2B (1933-1939) mostly to western states

Public Works Administration (PWA)
Built roads, school buildings, dams, warships, bridges

Works Progress Administration (WPA) Permitted FDR to spend
nearly $5B at his discretion. He could select the projects,
determine the amount to be spent, and fix the wages. Indiana
Democrat county chairman V.G. Coplan told James Farley, FDR's
campaign manager, “What I think will help is to change the WPA
management from top to bottom. Put men in there who are...in
favor of using these Democrat projects to make votes for the
Democrat Party.”

Reconstruction Finance Corporation
Behind-the-scene banker for the New Deal – buying PWA
bonds, etc. Government funds were spent without any apparent
increase in appropriations and without passing any
appropriations bill. Fiscal independence gave Roosevelt the
power to act without specific Congressional authorization.

In 2009, Obama had Democrat-controlled House and Senate.
With little opposition, he was able to pass a large number of
new Federal programs into law.

Fiscal stimulus bill was almost $800B. Congress did not
appropriate or approve funds for individual programs. Funds
were spent on “infrastructure projects.” Money went to
Democrat Party supporters.

Troubled-asset Relief Program (TARP) Taxpayers
bought/guaranteed financial instruments with sub-prime
mortgages. Politicians had "encouraged" banks to make the
sub-prime mortgages or face civil rights suits. Greedy
bankers were blamed for foreclosures.

Federal Reserve bought financial instruments and Treasury
debt.

Glenn Beck at Restoring Courage

In Israel, there is more courage in one square mile than
in all of Europe. In Israel, there is more courage in one
soldier than in the combined and cold hearts of every
bureaucrat at the United Nations. In Israel, you can find
people who will stand against incredible odds… against the
entire tide of global opinion, for what is right and good
and true.

Socialism v. Capitalist Free Markets

Obama’s home state of Illinois is like most other blue states.
Economically it is a basket case; an absolute wreck. Illinois
spends more than it takes in. Earlier this year, it had an
eight billion dollar deficit. So what did Illinois do? It
raised its state income tax from 3% to 5%; a 66% increase. It
also increased its corporate income tax from 4.8% to 7%. It
does not take a rocket scientist to figure out what happened
next. Since the tax hike, Illinois has lost almost 100,000
jobs. In July, Illinois lost 24,900 jobs. That is what you
call an economy in free fall.
Contrast Illinois with a couple of other states. Wisconsin
elected conservatives in 2010 and they enacted business
friendly legislation. Wisconsin added 9,500 jobs in June, a
month in which the entire nation only added 18,000 jobs.

If you want a real success story, look at Virginia. Under
Governor Bob McDowell, Virginia was facing budget problems.
Instead of raising taxes, he cut spending. When he took over
from Democrat Tim Kaine, Virginia had a $4.2 billion dollar
deficit. Kaine, in typical Democrat fashion, said the only way
the budget deficit could be closed was with a massive $2 billion
dollar tax hike on the citizens of Virginia. McDowell fought
back an attempt to enact that $2 billion personal income tax
increase. The result? Virginia has a $544 million surplus.
Virginia has an unemployment rate of 6.1 percent, as opposed to
the national rate of 9.1 percent.

Maryland is another state to take a look at. It is a solidly
blue state with a socialist governor. Martin O’Malley presided
over the largest increase in taxes in Maryland’s history,
including the “millionaire’s tax” he championed. This was to
close Maryland’s budget deficit. The millionaire’s tax that
O’Malley championed was a 6.25% tax on their income. Since
some cities in Maryland are able to impose city income taxes,
the highest rate in Maryland can be 9.45%. Of course, the
liberals predicted Maryland Millionaires would gladly pony up
their hard earned money. Do you know what happens when you
put socialists in charge of government? The “wealthy”
disappear. In 2008, the year before the “millionaire’s tax,”
there were about 3,000 millionaire tax returns filed. The
following year, there were only 2,000. In short, one third of
the rich disappeared from Maryland. Certainly the bad economy
knocked some out of the millionaire bracket, but a lot of them
simply left Maryland for friendlier states, such as Tennessee,
Texas and Florida, that do not tax personal income.
O’Malley’s policies have been such an abject failure that he
is now proposing yet another tax increase.
Meanwhile, in Maryland, the unemployment rate is over 7.2%.

If you look across the United States, the blue states are
economic basket cases while the solidly red states are doing
much better. There is a reason for that. Socialism does not
work.
If the National Republican Party had some sense, it would be
advertising across the nation the great successes conservatives
have had at the state level, cutting taxes, creating jobs and
mitigating the damage from the Obama depression.
The Fair Tax, a consumption tax on new goods rather than an
income tax, does not drive wealth from America. With the
prebate, it is not regressive. The Federal Reserve's policy
to devalue the dollar hurts the elderly and the poor the most.
Governor Perry has correctly labeled it treason.

22 August 1967, I Enter USAF

Forty-four years ago today I was at Fort Jackson, SC to
enter the United States Air Force. After physicals and
the oath, we flew to San Antonio, TX then by bus to
Lackland AFB. Our Officer Training School class was so
large that several squadrons were on Lackland main base
(including me) while most were at Medina.
Rather than sleeping we in-processed all morning. We had
a full day of PT and cleaning our "new" 3-man rooms. We
finally got "lights out" about midnight.
For the next 12 weeks we marched, had PT, had classes on
leadership and everything military and cleaned everything.
Our new haircuts made shampooing quick and easy - which
was good since we were only allowed a few seconds.
"Gentlemen, the time is 0530. All overhead lights ON. The
uniform of the day is 1505s".
The graduation parade was 17 Nov 67 for over 1000 new 2nd
Lieutenants. My parents pinned on bars labeled "Mom" and
"Pop" - strictly forbidden.
Instead of Vietnam I went to Columbia, MO for graduate
school in math, Colorado Springs, CO for NORAD, and a
classified location in Australia.

Homeland Security Video Pits Americans Against Americans

In April 2009, the Department of Homeland Security under
the new administration issued a report on "Right-wing
Extremism" in the United States. The report depicted as
possible terrorists those interested in end times
prophecies; concerned about a possible economic collapse;
opposed to illegal immigration, abortion, and same sex
marriage; opposed to restrictions on the right to bear
arms; and Americans who are returning veterans from Iraq
and Afghanistan. Now, a new DHS video release depicts
mostly white Americans as terrorist suspects and
encourages all Americans to spy on their neighbors and
report any suspicious activity to the government.

The 10 minute video makes a point to say that terrorists
are not a specific race, religion or gender, but rather
comprise specific behaviors that are suspicious and out
of ordinary. The video is entitled "If you see something,
say something." Throughout the movie it has several black
people reporting the suspicious activities of white people.
In fact, of the approximately 22 people portrayed as
terrorists in the video, 17 are white males, two are white
females, one is a black female, one is a black male, and
one is a Muslim of Middle Eastern descent. The Muslim is
only found on a newspaper headline with his name beside his
picture. All but three of the others are actually
committing suspicious acts.

The underlying messages of this video are incredible.
Blacks are encouraged to report to the Department of
Homeland Security any suspicious activities of whites.
Whites are predominantly purveyors of terrorism in America.
Terrorism is not connected to any religion or race, except
whites. Truth is, this is a $10 million taxpayer funded
class warfare propaganda film pitting Americans against
Americans on the basis of race, while at the same time
ignoring the very fact that the overwhelming majority of
terrorist acts are perpetrated by followers of Islam. That
the government of the United States would propagate such
suspicion and distrust among its people is immoral and
un-American.

Secure High-voltage Infrastructure for Electricity from Lethal Damage Act

H.R.668 The Shield Act
The Congress makes the following findings:

(1) According to the Report of the Commission to Assess the
Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse Attack
(in this Act referred to as the `EMP Commission Report'), the
society and economy of the United States are `critically
dependent upon the availability of electricity.'

(2) According to the EMP Commission Report, `continued
electrical supply is necessary for sustaining water supplies,
production and distribution of food, fuel, communications, and
everything else that is part of our economy'.

(3) According to the EMP Commission Report, `contemporary
U.S. society is not structured, nor does it have the means,
to provide for the needs of nearly 300 million Americans
without electricity.'

(4) According to the EMP Commission Report, due to the existing
electrical system operating at or near its physical capacity,
`a relatively modest upset to the system can cause functional
collapse.'

(5) According to the EMP Commission Report, electromagnetic
pulse (in this Act referred to as `EMP') is a threat to the
overall electrical power system.

(6) According to the EMP Commission Report, EMP occurs both
naturally, such as geomagnetic storms, and via man-made
devices.

(7) According to the EMP Commission Report, while the electric
infrastructure `has a degree of durability against . . . the
failure of one or a small number of [electric] components,'
the current strategy for recovery leaves the United States
ill-prepared to respond effectively to an EMP attack that
would potentially result in damage to vast numbers of
components nearly simultaneously over an unprecedented
geographic scale.

(8) According to the EMP Commission Report, EMP `may couple
ultimately unmanageable currents and voltages into an
electrical system routinely operated with little margin and
cause the collapse of large portions of the electrical
system.'

(9) According to the EMP Commission Report, a collapse of large
portions of the electrical system will result in significant
periods of power-outage and `restoration from collapse or loss
of significant portions of the system [will be] exceedingly
difficult.'

(10) According to the EMP Commission Report, `should the
electrical power system be lost for any substantial period of
time . . . the consequences are likely to be catastrophic to
civilian society.'

(11) According to the EMP Commission Report, `the Commission
is deeply concerned that [negative] impacts [on the electric
infrastructure] are certain in an EMP event unless practical
steps are taken to provide protection for critical elements
of the electric system.'

None Dare Call It Treason? Why?

The House has passed Cut, Cap & Balance. It is ridiculous
to debate an alternative bill. The fact that the Senate voted
to table CCB and the PotUS threatened to veto CCB if the Senate
passed it, is irrelevant. The ball should be in the Senate's
court!
Senators and the President took an oath to “support and
defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.”
The threat to misuse the 14th Amendment sounds like FDR's threat
to “pack the Court” if they challenged him on his illegal
activities. Don't consider alternative legislation in the House.
Do the Constitutional thing and impeach the traitors!
The rhetoric should expose the traitors for their purpose to
destroy the American way of life!

The Debt Limit "Crisis"

There have been a lot of irresponsible statements
recently concerning the debt limit – particularly from
the PotUS and his Treasury Secretary.
Social Security checks will be paid. To not pay them
would energize the elderly to throw the bums out of
office next November – or earlier! It would also expose
the theft of $2.6T from the Social Security Trust Fund.
The last thing that the government should do is default
on external debt. The credit rating agencies have
already given us a negative warning. Default would lead
to much higher interest rates and a debt death spiral.
The Boehner-Reid sell-out would take $1Trillion from
DOD. The other $.2T in cuts is likely to come from
high-value targets of Democrats. The $1.6T will also
come from items that were “negotiated” - I don't favor
this, but if you give me that, then I will let you have
it.
The fact that the House has passed Cut, Cap & Balance
and that it was tabled by the Senate and a veto threatened
by Obama, shows that the Senate and President do not want
to cut spending at all!
If most of the $3.7T budget is currently spent for
defense, Social Security, Medicare, HUD, housing bailouts,
etc., then these programs must have major cuts. The
Democrats are OK with cutting $1T from defense.
Taxes have already been raised at least 3.6% this past
12 months. Although the inflation tax is a hidden tax, it
is a regressive tax which hurts the least able – the poor
and elderly. Although I favor the Fair Tax, I would be in
favor of “flattening” the income tax by getting rid of all
credits and deductions – including favorites like home
mortgage interest and charitable giving.

Probable Democrat Trap

The $1.2T cut is $1T wars and $.2T other. This a trap to add
$1T to the debt limit. The rating agencies are not that naive!
The Administration will cut the funding where they least
support - Afghanistan and Iraq. Can we pack up and leave? If so,
why have we stayed this long? What about cuts in Korea, Japan
and Germany instead? If they use 5% growth, then why not use
10% or 20%? We can make any deficit disappear with a high
enough growth rate!

McDowell bore the brunt of the blame for the Union

No Social Security Checks Threat

Obama: “I cannot guarantee that those checks go out…if
we haven’t resolved this issue. Because there may simply
not be the money in the coffers to do it…this is not just
a matter of Social Security checks. These are veterans
checks, these are folks on disability and their checks.
There are about 70 million checks that go out.”
"The Social Security Trust Fund balances are available
to finance future benefit payments and other Trust Fund
expenditures – but only in a bookkeeping sense.... They
do not consist of real economic assets that can be drawn
down in the future to fund benefits. Instead, they are
claims on the Treasury that, when redeemed, will have to
be financed by raising taxes, borrowing from the public,
or reducing benefits or other expenditures. The existence
of large Trust Fund balances, therefore, does not, by
itself, have any impact on the Government’s ability to
pay benefits." FY 2000 Budget, Analytical Perspectives,
p. 337

This is because for decades Congress has used Trust Fund
money to pay bills. No "funds" exist - only an
obligation by the Federal Government to keep its word.

Who Are Taxpayers Supporting?

Laura Metz, 42, was laid off from a clerical job paying
$15.30 an hour at a home health care provider near her
home in Commerce, Mich., nearly 15 months ago. She has
been collecting $362 a week in unemployment insurance
and about $50 a month in food stamps. [$24,280]

That covers the basics. But Ms. Metz stopped making her
mortgage payments last year on the modest home she
shares with her 19-year-old son. A program that allowed
her to make a lower monthly payment has expired, and she
is waiting to see if the lender will modify her loan. She
can no longer make her student loan payments for her
bachelor’s degree or master’s in business administration,
and she has downgraded her Internet and cable service and
cut back on car trips and snacks.

Note that having Internet and cable TV continue are more
important than contractual obligations - like a mortgage!
She is probably a single mom. No husband or child support
was mentioned in the article. She is defaulting on her
student loans. She has an MBA, but won't move for a job
because she and her son are squatting free. She would have
to pay rent if they moved. She and her son are parasites!

Raising the Debt Limit

If you max-out your credit card, then you need to slow your
spending until you are below your spending limit again.
Since World War II, government spending, on average,
accounted for around one-fifth, or 19.6 percent, of GDP.
Today, Federal spending accounts for over 25 percent of GDP.
Cut, Cap and Balance:
Cut spending to match revenue - without raising taxes!
Cap Federal spending at 20% of GDP.
Pass a Balanced Budget Amendment to enforce frugality.
Keeping the debt limit should curb profligate spending and
will not cause a default. I would furlough the Secretaries
of Energy, Education, HHS, HUD, Commerce, Interior, Labor,
State and Defense and all but a skeleton force of their
civilian employees.

The Great SPR Scam

The U.S. Energy Department said on Thursday that companies
must submit their bids by June 29 for purchasing 30 million
barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
SPR oil would have base price of $112.78 a barrel
The United States said it would supply half of a planned
60 million-barrel emergency release of crude oil from members
of the International Energy Agency, in a bid to cover supplies
lost from Libya during the peak demand summer driving season.
According to the EIA summary released Wednesday, the United
States oil supply is "above the upper limit of the average
range for this time of year."
The real reason is to provide quick cash to the Treasury.
The Democrats and Republicans have shown that they do not want
to cut spending. Democrats want to raise taxes, and Republicans
refuse to do that.
To get over $3,383,400,000 of petty cash, the Obama
administration wants to sell some liquid assets. The SPR is
for Strategic purposes - hence the name. It must not be used
for tactical political use.

Bubbles & Free-Markets

We have heard a lot about bubbles in the last couple
of years – the housing bubble, the stimulus bubble, the
auto/clunker bubble, the student loan bubble, the tuition
bubble, etc. The Federal government was responsible for
all of these. Congress blames greedy capitalists, but, if
the gold supply at Fort Knox is left unsecured and the
fact is publicized, the bad decision is primarily at fault,
and the greedy folks who take the gold are just opportunists
doing what comes naturally.
The Community Reinvestment Act was passed in 1977. Every
President since then has used it to increase the percent of
home ownership and then made it a campaign statement that
they were helping Americans to achieve the American dream.
The problem was that any loan which was denied was denied
due to “racism.” Banks were threatened with Federal lawsuits
under the Civil Rights Act. The banks complied and got the
bad loans off their balance sheets as quickly as possible –
condolidated debt obligations sold to taxpayers (Fannie &
Freddie). The “First-time home buyer” program hoped to
reduce the glut of foreclosed homes, but most buyers wanted
new homes in better neighborhoods.
The Congress passed the Troubled Assets Relief Program and
the stimulus plan. This rewarded banks which “lost” money
and also political supporters. Local “shovel-ready projects”
were funded all at once to stimulate the economy. Work
scheduled for years was completed in months. Hundreds of jobs
were created at the Savannah River Site for expedited cleanup.
That bubble has burst.
The “cash for clunkers” program got inefficient vehicles
off the roads while stimulating the automobile industry.
Since American taxpayers are part-owners with unions of
automobile manufacturers like General Motors, this sounded
like a good idea.
Alternative energy companies – wind, solar, wave,
geothermal – were heavily subsidized by taxpayers while
carbon-based energy was threatened with carbon taxes,
moritoriums on drilling, and stagnation in the permitting
process. Our national security is at risk because our
wealth has been and is being transferred to our enemies.
The EPA has deemed humans as polluters since the breath
that we exhale is carbon dioxide.
Subsidies to financial institutions selling student
loans were reduced, and the Federal government took over
the student loan business. This is like the “single payer”
system favored by Democrats under Obamacare. Drive out
private insurers and nationalize Medicare-for-everyone.
Lotteries have created bubbles by “free” tuition
increasing demand while supply grew more slowly. Colleges
increased tuition by 200% or more of the inflation tax,
and competition from other lotteries reduced the amounts
available for scholarships. Only 56% of graduates found
jobs versus 90% a decade before. The default rate on
student loans – particularly with for-profit online
universities and loans needed to pay the increased tuition –
will put taxpayers deeper in debt.
Welcome to the centrally-planned and centrally-controlled
economy! A Constitution and a free-market economy made
America great. Central planning is destroying it!

Bibi vs. 0bama

An old satrical cartoon pictured Obama attempting JFK's
1960s Berlin speech, but saying “Ich bin ein Beginner!”
He has demonstrated the concerns that he has little if any
foreign policy experience with his recent speech on Israel.
He then meets with Bibi Netanyahu, who is in the
“heavyweight” class in foreign policy, and tells him - and
the world - that Israel needs to return to the pre-1967-war
borders. The Israeli Prime Minister showed great restraint
in not responding as an ex-Philadelphia high school student
might have.
Obama may have a Harvard Law background and community
organizing experience, but he is a lightweight with Bibi
who was educated at MIT and Harvard and has elite special
forces experience with the Israeli Defense Force. Bibi
fought on the Golan Heights in the 1973 war. When he says
that the 1967 borders are indefensible, then he knows that
from personal experience.
Obama also shows a profound ignorance of God's covenant
with Abraham. The United Nations created the state of
Israel in 1948. God had previously created the nation of
Israel and had given them the land from the river of Egypt
to the great river, the Euphrates River. Israel needs to
reestablish the borders that it had under King Solomon in
950 B.C.!

God May Punish the U.S.

Obama made a speech demanding that Israel roll back its
borders to pre-1967 war borders. This has been an Arab
demand since they lost the territory by attacking Israel.
It is totally unreasonable for many reasons:
Isreal will lose much of its defensive capability
God gave Abraham/Isaac/Jacob the land from the river in
Egypt to the river Euphrates forever, so Israel has given
much land already.
The current situation is untenable. Israel needs to take
back Gaza and the West Bank. The demand for a security
corridor connecting the two controlled by Hamas is meant
to divide Israel in two. Both Gaza and the West Bank are
used to smuggle weapons to Hamas. Israel is regularly
attacked from Gaza.
Whenever the king ignored God's clear plan, the entire
nation suffered. This has also occurred when modern
leaders ignored God's clear plan.

Give Keynes a Break!

It is a shame that Keynes is not around to defend himself.
He knew about the business cycle. He could have meant that,
if government had to spend anyway and the timing was flexible,
spending should occur during troughs in the business cycle
whenever possible. Any good idea can be perverted. Putting
500 in a lifeboat designed for 50 is an example. The outcome
is probably bad.

More on Gas Prices

Gas prices are the top media topic. President Obama has
been against carbon-based energy and has used taxpayer money
to make alternative fuels cheaper. He has prohibited
drilling for oil and has delayed the permits for drilling.
The United States has coal, oil and natural gas supplies
which will last for centuries, yet we import about 9M
barrels/day at about $110/barrel. Much of that supply comes
from Canada and Mexico, but much comes from people who
consider us infidels worthy of death.
But geopolitical issues and supply interruptions and
global demand are only part of the “high” gas prices.
The dollar has been devalued more than 95% since 1913 when
the Federal Reserve was born. Gas at $4/gal is only 18
cents/gal in 1913 dollars. The Federal government talks
about keeping the dollar strong, but it is disadvantageous
for it to do so. A weaker dollar makes it easier to repay
debt and also makes U.S. exports cheaper. It is a tax which
hurts the poor and elderly the most.
What about price gouging and obscene profits by big oil
corporations? The profit margins* of Exxon and Chevron
are 8.89% and 10.03% respectively. The profit margins of
Microsoft and IBM are 30.84% and 14.85% respectively. The
profit margins of JP Morgan and Citi are 21.91% and 17.27%
respectively. The profit margins of AT&T and Pfizer are
15.98% and 12.18% respectively.
Also institutions (mutual and pension funds ) hold 49.3%
and 63.2% of Exxon and Chevron. The stocks are therefore
indirectly held by millions of Americans. Seizing their
profits for more redistribution schemes will be as popular
as delaying BP's dividends to U.K. pensioners after the
tragic accident in the Gulf of Mexico.
The subsidy that taxpayers give to big oil (depletion
allowance) is similar to the depreciation allowance given
to manufacturers, businesses and realtors/landlords.
The United States has 5% of the world's population but
25% of the world's energy use each day. If higher gas
prices discourage use and encourage efficiency, then the
result will be better for many reasons – particularly our
soaring debt and national security.

And The Oscar Goes To...

The Oscar for the most treasonous performance in an elected
role goes jointly to the Congress and the POTUS.
Bill Clinton has a problem with the Truth, so what were we
thinking when he claimed “the era of big government is over?”
Corruption loves big government. It is easier to steal millions
when the total budget is in trillions!
How can conservatives shut down the government which does
such good things for us? Obama's reason for his historic
spending was “I won!” The reason for the House of
Representatives requiring historic spending cuts should be
“We won!”
One of the first things that the House of Representatives
did was read the Constitution on the House floor. HR 1 was
passed to fund the government for FY2011. The spending cuts
were small in comparison to the deficit. The Senate and the
POTUS have treated HR 1 as a joke. Many in government think
that the Constitution is only a suggestion which can be
ignored when they wish to. The enumerated powers are an
outdated list. They speak of America as a democracy rather
than a republic. Many Americans are clueless about the
difference.
The problem with the “nanny state” giving out government
suckers every time someone – legal or illegal – cries, is that
everyone is taught to work less and wait for their sucker.
America became great because of our Constitution and
free-market capitalism. We will fail as a nation when we forget
that.

Is a 1960s "space-age committment" to alternative energy - when
it is more expensive and risky and at a time of debt crisis - really
rational? We should instead open all sources of domestic energy
and stabilize and reduce our trade deficits!

Devaluing Money

I recently won a $1000 coin on an auction site. The $ is
pesos, not dollars (USD). As a result of hyperinflation in
Mexico, 1000 “old” pesos (MXP) became 1 “new” peso (MXN) in
1993. A savings of $1,000,000 (MXP) became only $1,000 (MXN).
Mexico was given loans and guarantees of $50B (USD) –
principally by the Clinton administration – in order to
survive the financial crisis.
Nations get money by taxing, by borrowing and/or by
printing it. If you are a debtor nation and unable to pay
your debt, then you can devalue the currency in order to make
it possible to pay the debt. This is done by spending more
than your revenues and creating – by borrowing or printing –
the difference. The effect is called inflation or monetizing
the debt.
To boil a frog, put the frog in cool water and gradually
raise the temperature until the frog has boiled to death.
What we (frogs) see is that an item costing $1000 (USD) in
1913 would cost over $22,354 (USD) in 2011. This works
exactly like a tax. The government makes it worse because,
if you sell the item, you will be taxed on the $21,354
“profit.”
Our coins no longer contain any gold or silver, and our
paper money is only as good as the world's faith in it.
If the world loses that faith, then our dollar becomes as
worthless as a Zimbabwe dollar!

Conservatives & Liberals

A young woman was about to finish her first year of college.
Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be a
very liberal Democrat, and among other liberal ideals, was
very much in favor of higher taxes to support more government
programs, in other words redistribution of wealth.

She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch
Republican, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the
lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional
chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for
years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he
thought should be his.

One day she was challenging her father on his opposition
to higher taxes on the rich and the need for more government
programs. The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her
professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her
father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school.

Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a
4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain,
insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load
and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go
out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even
have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many
college friends, because she spent all her time studying.

Her father listened and then asked , 'How is your friend
Audrey doing?' She replied, 'Audrey is barely getting by.
All she takes are easy classes, she never studies, and she
barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus; college
for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties
and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes
because she's too hung over.'

Her wise father asked his daughter, 'Why don't you go to
the Dean's office and ask him to deduct 1.0 off your GPA and
give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will
both have a 3.0 GPA, and certainly that would be a fair and
equal distribution of GPA.' The daughter, visibly shocked by
her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, 'That's a crazy
idea, how would that be fair! I've worked really hard for my
grades! I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work!
Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played
while I worked my tail off!'

The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently, 'Welcome to
the Republican party.' If anyone has a better explanation of
the difference between Republican and Democrat I'm all ears.

If you ever wondered what side of the fence you sit on, this
is a great test!

If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one.
If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat..
If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products
banned for everyone.

If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to
better his situation.
A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches
channels.
Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion
silenced - unless it's a foreign religion, of course!

The Strategic Petroleum Reserve

The Strategic Petroleum Reserve is an emergency fuel store
of oil maintained by the United States Department of Energy.
Some clueless individuals are asking the Federal government
to release oil from the Reserve so that they will not have
to pay such high prices for gasoline. The Feds are in the
banking, car and insurance businesses already, why not the
fuel business?!
The Federal government created a “stimulus” package of
almost a thousand billion (trillion) dollars and spent much
of it for road resurfacing and bridges. I bet you don't
know what gas taxes are for! If you said roads and bridges
and “infrastructure” for highway transportation, then you
are correct. That means that the government has taxed gas
much less than the rest of the world, and intentionally let
our infrastructure deteriorate. Much was probably used to
subsidize windmills. Don Quixote would be proud!
We are in trouble because the Federal government is
incompetent to do central planning. We had a mortgage
“crisis” in the 1980s and early 1990s (S&L crisis). That
cost taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars. The movie
Wall Street depicted the times. Remember the “Greed is good”
line? The mortgage “crisis” of this decade has been blamed on
“greedy bankers.” The clueless Feds don't understand
capitalism. Greed is indeed a good incentive to risk capital
and create jobs – and we got a new Wall Street movie. Federal
incompetence is good fodder for Hollywood!
We have enough energy sources to be energy independent, but
the DOE does not like “carbon-based” fuel. They should drive
solar-powered, electrical cars. Chu is also anti-nuclear.
Obama cancelled the Yucca Mountain storage facility for
nuclear waste that utility customers had paid $14B for.
Governor Haley demanded that the Feds return the $2.6B to
South Carolinians. Hooray for Nikki! Meanwhile, China is
building a nuclear plant each week!
The Feds placed a moritorium on drilling in the Gulf of
Mexico and has stalled permits. At the same time, they loaned
$2B to Brazil-controlled Petrobras for deep-water drilling using
the U.S. Import/Export Bank.
If this is an “emergency”, then all known sources of fuel
should be made available. If new infrastructure is needed,
then the gas tax should be raised to pay for it.

Do Not Raise the Debt Limit!

The Unites States will soon reach the debt limit set
by the Congress. Only 218 of the 241 Republican
Congressmen need to vote NO for the debt limit to stay
the same. This will require spending to match revenues.
Liberals/progressives who want no limits on spending
will warn that the Unites States will default on the debt.
The cash flow for the Federal government is about
$200B/month. This is adequate to service the debt and
have enough left to pay for essential services – like our
military.
If our credit card is denied because we have spent the
limit, then the solution is NOT to get the spending limit
raised. It is to spend less.
The proposed $100B cut in spending is far too small.
If the deficit is $1500B each year and Congress cuts
spending by only $100B each year, the the United States
debt increases $1400B each year.
If you are spending $1010/month more than you earn and
you cut that to $1000/month more than you earn, then you
will soon be bankrupt.
The United States will reach its debt limit about 15
April. Our creditors are closely watching our actions. We
will hit the wall sooner if they sell our current debt and
permanently cease buying our debt.
Substantially cutting the Departments of Education, Energy
and Agriculture and phasing them out completely will achieve
the required spending cuts.
Jeff Duncan has pledged to vote NO unless both the House
and Senate pass a Balanced Budget Amendment. A Balanced
Budget Amendment is not likely! It will require a 2/3 vote
and then ratification by 3/4 of the states.

A Progressive Utopia

Unionized public-sector employment is the distilled essence
of the left's moral ideal. No one has to worry about making
a profit. Generous health-care and retirement benefits are
provided to everyone by the government. Comfortable pay is
mandated by legislative fiat. The work rules are militantly
egalitarian: pay, promotion, and job security are almost
totally independent of actual job performance. And because
everyone works for the government, they never have to worry
that their employer will go out of business.

In short, public employment is an idealized socialist economy
in miniature, including its political aspect: the grateful
recipients of government largesse provide money and
organizational support to re-elect the politicians who shower
them with all of these benefits.

Know America's Founding Principles

As a nation, we have lost our understanding of America's
founding principles and, as a result, have become increasingly
ill-prepared to defend the superiority of those principles.
This puts us at a distinct disadvantage in being able to
identify, let alone understand and confront, hostile
doctrines - both foreign and domestic.
The United States of America is an idea embodied in our
Declaration of Independence and our Constitution. We need to
re-read on a regular basis - at least every 4th of July -
and remember these founding principles.

Loss of Manufacturing Jobs

Assume that Z, Inc builds a new factory to manufacture widgets.
There are many construction jobs created in order to build the
factory. When the construction is complete, those jobs are
“lost.”
With input from the workers, innovative ideas are used to make
the manufacturing process more safe and efficient. Dangerous
and repetitive work is automated. Productivity increases.
Some of this increase is due to workers becoming more skilled
in their assigned functions. Most of the increase is due to
automation. The workers should be paid more for the
productivity increases due to their increased skill. The
investors should be paid more for the productivity increases
due to their investment in automation. With continued
productivity increases the number of widgets required to meet
demand can be manufactured with fewer workers. Jobs are “lost.”
If workers demand higher wages than justified by their share of
the productivity increases, then management may decide to
increase automation or rebuild the factory where wages are lower.
Either way, jobs are “lost.”
This is a simplified description of how manufacturing matures
and how jobs are lost. I have known this since I read Future
Shock
four decades ago. Those who have a vested interest in
wages would deny it and say that management and investors are
greedy. It is a simplified description because it ignores tax
policy, the effect of government regulation, competition from X
and Y, Inc and foreign companies and many other variables.
It is not a catastrophe to lose jobs in labor-intensive
industries – except to low-skilled workers – while higher-paying
jobs are created in high-tech, high-touch industries like
computers and medicine. The jobs are not “shipped overseas,”
but the manufacturing matured. China and India, with billions
more workers have lower wages because of the much greater
supply of available, skilled labor.

The Roots of Obama's Rage - D'Souza

Barack Obama, Sr grew up in the British colony of Kenya.
Barry's (Jr) stepdad, Lolo Soetoro grew up in the Dutch
colony of Indonesia. Both father and stepfather were
anti-colonialists. They believed that nations have become
rich on the backs of their colonies; i.e. the “rich” have
become rich at the expense of the poor.
Barry is multiracial and multicultural. He is mulatto,
the son of a black father and a white mother. He grew
up in Hawaii and Indonesia. Barry only met has father once.
He was 10 years old and living in Hawaii. His first book is
Dreams From My Father published in 1995 and again 2005.
To illustrate how his ideology governs policy, Barry
used the BP oil spill to prohibit drilling in the Gulf of
Mexico. At the same time, the U.S. Export-Import Bank offered
$2 billion in loans and guarantees to Brazil's state-controlled
oil country Petrobras for offshore drilling.

Notice to School Boards

You are responsible for the education of children in Aiken
County. Part of that responsibility is to protect them
from error. We have seen a lack of integrity among
scientists involved in “Climategate” where data was selected
to prove a premise. There are great rewards such as grants
– and even Oscars and Nobel Prizes for politicians who sell
the false premise.
I received my Master of Science degree in 1969
(U. of Missouri), so I have decades of experience in the
scientific world. The recent lack of integrity among
scientists is not isolated to the global warming scam.
Those scientists who believe in the evolution idea have
actively suppressed data which questions the idea. I do
not call the evolution idea a theory because it is not
science. No “theory” of origins may be science, because
science is about observations, hypotheses and repeatable
experiments by peers.
John Dewey signed the first Humanist Manifesto in
1933. It states that “The universe is self-existing and
not created.” He was at Columbia University training
teachers. Humanist ideas have become embedded in both
teachers and textbooks that they have written.
My Bible tells me that Jesus Christ created
everything. To teach otherwise is to deny Him. My Bible
also tells me that those who deny Him will spend eternity
in the lake of fire. You may be a born-again believer,
but, if you even passively allow error to be taught by
those under your control, you will soon answer to God for
that failure. To whom much is given, much is expected.
