Our Hope

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;
and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name
will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father,
Prince of Peace.
There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace;
on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to
uphold it with justice and righteousness from then on and forevermore.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
God was the Word. He was in the beginning with God. All things came
into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being
that has come into being.
And the Word [Jesus Christ] became flesh, and dwelt among us, and
we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of
grace and truth.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat
on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and
wages war. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name
is called The Word of God.
From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike
down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He
treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. And on
His robe and on His thigh He has a name written,
"KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."
