None Dare Call It Treason? Why?

The House has passed Cut, Cap & Balance. It is ridiculous
to debate an alternative bill. The fact that the Senate voted
to table CCB and the PotUS threatened to veto CCB if the Senate
passed it, is irrelevant. The ball should be in the Senate's
court!
Senators and the President took an oath to “support and
defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.”
The threat to misuse the 14th Amendment sounds like FDR's threat
to “pack the Court” if they challenged him on his illegal
activities. Don't consider alternative legislation in the House.
Do the Constitutional thing and impeach the traitors!
The rhetoric should expose the traitors for their purpose to
destroy the American way of life!

The Debt Limit "Crisis"

There have been a lot of irresponsible statements
recently concerning the debt limit – particularly from
the PotUS and his Treasury Secretary.
Social Security checks will be paid. To not pay them
would energize the elderly to throw the bums out of
office next November – or earlier! It would also expose
the theft of $2.6T from the Social Security Trust Fund.
The last thing that the government should do is default
on external debt. The credit rating agencies have
already given us a negative warning. Default would lead
to much higher interest rates and a debt death spiral.
The Boehner-Reid sell-out would take $1Trillion from
DOD. The other $.2T in cuts is likely to come from
high-value targets of Democrats. The $1.6T will also
come from items that were “negotiated” - I don't favor
this, but if you give me that, then I will let you have
it.
The fact that the House has passed Cut, Cap & Balance
and that it was tabled by the Senate and a veto threatened
by Obama, shows that the Senate and President do not want
to cut spending at all!
If most of the $3.7T budget is currently spent for
defense, Social Security, Medicare, HUD, housing bailouts,
etc., then these programs must have major cuts. The
Democrats are OK with cutting $1T from defense.
Taxes have already been raised at least 3.6% this past
12 months. Although the inflation tax is a hidden tax, it
is a regressive tax which hurts the least able – the poor
and elderly. Although I favor the Fair Tax, I would be in
favor of “flattening” the income tax by getting rid of all
credits and deductions – including favorites like home
mortgage interest and charitable giving.

Probable Democrat Trap

The $1.2T cut is $1T wars and $.2T other. This a trap to add
$1T to the debt limit. The rating agencies are not that naive!
The Administration will cut the funding where they least
support - Afghanistan and Iraq. Can we pack up and leave? If so,
why have we stayed this long? What about cuts in Korea, Japan
and Germany instead? If they use 5% growth, then why not use
10% or 20%? We can make any deficit disappear with a high
enough growth rate!

First Battle of Manassas, 21 Jul 1861

The War for Southern Independence
McDowell (U, 28,452) against Beauregard (C, 21,883)
The Union Army invaded with the hope of capturing
Richmond, VA, the capitol of the Confederate States
of America. The Union troops were routed – in
particular by Thomas (Stonewall) Jackson and his
troops from Virginia Military Institute.
Union casualties were 460 killed, 1,124 wounded, and
1,312 missing or captured;
Confederate casualties were 387 killed, 1,582 wounded,
and 13 missing.
McDowell bore the brunt of the blame for the Union
defeat and was soon replaced by McClellan.

Quick Budget Cuts Before 2 August

Department of Education: Cut $15 billion
Obamacare: Cut $5 billion
2009 Federal Stimulus Program: Cut $60 billion
Welfare/Entitlement Waste and Fraud: Cut $44 billion
Excessive Pay for Civilian Federal Workers: Cut $40 billion

Total savings from these five areas alone: $164 billion!

These are from Heritage Foundation questions. I want to
demote most Cabinet Departments to small agencies and
furlough the Federal civilians in them through the "crisis."

No Social Security Checks Threat

Obama: “I cannot guarantee that those checks go out…if
we haven’t resolved this issue. Because there may simply
not be the money in the coffers to do it…this is not just
a matter of Social Security checks. These are veterans
checks, these are folks on disability and their checks.
There are about 70 million checks that go out.”
"The Social Security Trust Fund balances are available
to finance future benefit payments and other Trust Fund
expenditures – but only in a bookkeeping sense.... They
do not consist of real economic assets that can be drawn
down in the future to fund benefits. Instead, they are
claims on the Treasury that, when redeemed, will have to
be financed by raising taxes, borrowing from the public,
or reducing benefits or other expenditures. The existence
of large Trust Fund balances, therefore, does not, by
itself, have any impact on the Government’s ability to
pay benefits." FY 2000 Budget, Analytical Perspectives,
p. 337

This is because for decades Congress has used Trust Fund
money to pay bills. No "funds" exist - only an
obligation by the Federal Government to keep its word.

Who Are Taxpayers Supporting?

Laura Metz, 42, was laid off from a clerical job paying
$15.30 an hour at a home health care provider near her
home in Commerce, Mich., nearly 15 months ago. She has
been collecting $362 a week in unemployment insurance
and about $50 a month in food stamps. [$24,280]

That covers the basics. But Ms. Metz stopped making her
mortgage payments last year on the modest home she
shares with her 19-year-old son. A program that allowed
her to make a lower monthly payment has expired, and she
is waiting to see if the lender will modify her loan. She
can no longer make her student loan payments for her
bachelor’s degree or master’s in business administration,
and she has downgraded her Internet and cable service and
cut back on car trips and snacks.

Note that having Internet and cable TV continue are more
important than contractual obligations - like a mortgage!
She is probably a single mom. No husband or child support
was mentioned in the article. She is defaulting on her
student loans. She has an MBA, but won't move for a job
because she and her son are squatting free. She would have
to pay rent if they moved. She and her son are parasites!

Declaration of Independence from the USSA

Rather than add to the list of offenses that Obama
has committed, [see DOI posts for 2009 and 2010], I will
list quotes by the main author of the Declaration of
Independence, Thomas Jefferson. I encourage you to view
the reading of the Declaration on YouTube by Mel Gibson,
Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman, Kathy Bates, et. al.

A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men
free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and
improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor
the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good
government.

All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of
good conscience to remain silent.

An association of men who will not quarrel with one
another is a thing which has never yet existed, from the
greatest confederacy of nations down to a town meeting
or a vestry.

As our enemies have found we can reason like men, so
now let us show them we can fight like men also.

Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... They
are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our
liberty.

I know of no safe depository of the ultimate powers of
the society but the people themselves; and if we think them
not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a
wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from
them but to inform their discretion.

The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same
time. Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when
we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the
minds of the people that these liberties are a gift of God?
That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed,
I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just;
that His justice cannot sleep forever.
